Trafalgar Falls, Dominica Waterfall Tourism Attraction

Where is Trafalgar Falls in the Caribbean? No, we are not talking about Trafalgar square on a monopoly game board. We are referring to the famous twin waterfall on the Caribbean island of Dominica. Just about 20 miles away from the capital of the tropical island.

One of your first destinations when exploring Dominica has to be Trafalgar Falls. Trafalgar Falls cascades dramatically across Titou Gorge from Trois Pitons River. The waterfalls empty into a natural hot sulfur spring.

The best part, this is one of two waterfalls, colloquially known as Papa Falls and Mama Falls. What feeds Trafalgar falls in Dominica? Both the Trafalgar Falls are tributaries of the Roseau River in Dominica.

Father Falls has streams that flow from hot springs to produce warmer temperatures. Whereas Mother Falls has a stronger flow into a natural swimming pool. You can strip and swim in the natural swimming pool or climb up the rocks hugging both falls.

The national park that is home to Dominica’s Trafalgar Falls has a visitors’ area with a sensational viewing platform. At the viewing point, tourists can take beautiful photographs and videos of the two Trafalgar falls. There are standard facilities and a parking lot.

Thought tourists recommend you visit in the early morning or late afternoon. So, you can enjoy the scenery and atmosphere and avoid large crowds and the hottest part of the day.
